Only organic acid test to distinguish between beneficial and harmful bacteria, different types of Clostridia, and yeast (Candida).
Shows exactly how your mitochondria (powerhouses of your cells) may not be producing enough ATP. Precise supplementation is then possible.
Markers include Vitamins B12, B6, B5, B2, and C, Coenzyme Q10, N-Acetylcysteine and Biotin.
Markers for dopamine and epinephrine, and quinolinic acid.
Hi, I’m Stephen Ward (MSc) from Fairfield Nutrition.
The organic acid test is one of my favourite tests because of the amount of information that is contained in the one test. If you can afford to do one test, this is quite often it! It is particularly useful for people who have chronic health issues that means they have digestive discomfort as well as a lack of energy or mood issues/brain fog.
The test includes markers for each stage of the Krebs cycle, which is used to create ATP, or energy in our cells. It also includes markers for neuro-transmitters, bacteria and yeast overgrowth, Vitamin status, oxalates, and anti-oxidants (glutathione) levels.
I offer the Great Plains Organic acid test which provides the most complete evaluation of intestinal yeast and bacteria, distinguishing between beneficial and harmful bacteria (unlike other similar tests). It also indicates the levels of the toxic metabolites of the Clostridia bacteria which can inhibit key neuro-transmitters in the brain.
All organic acid testing through Fairfield Nutrition includes a one-hour consultation with myself.
In addition to my Nutritionist training, I have completed a 16-hour workshop presented by a range of experienced clinicians and researchers on organic acids testing, mycotoxins and environmental pollutants and their relation to health.
And so I can help you understand how your results relate to your health and what they mean for you. I will provide advice on how to improve or optimise your health based on the results through nutrition, lifestyle changes, and possibly targeted supplements.
The test can be done in the privacy of your own home and involves a urine sample first thing in the morning.
